It’s been a while hasn’t it? I’d like to say that I’ve spent my time away from the blogger-sphere creating, unfortunately it’s been much more mundane than that…surviving if you will. (I’d say living but that implies a certain zest that these droll winter months haven’t much afforded me.)
But this morning, a deary day with nipping hints of Persephone’s legacy swirling around my face, I stumbled upon this and decided today would be a beautiful day to rededicate myself to writing and to the world at large.
In short, I’m back. And if you have had a creative drought or are feeling your work isn’t up to par, please take a minute a listen to the video below.
I am going to try retooling my blog and making it a bit more mainstream. I know I have been ignoring this the last few months (a new born can do that to you.) But I’m recommiting myself to keeping this up. And I’m hoping that you can help, please take a minute to fill out the poll and leave a comment with advice, what do you like to see from a blog?
Today is the first page of a 365 page novel. Make it good!
And since I’m feeling rather adventurous for the new year, I thought I’d reveal the cover art for my ebook of plays! The work was from my best friend, a painter and all-round awesome artist, Ashley Hunt, who now lives out in Buffalo.
I have just a bit more work on my book (ok really I’m just waiting a few weeks to calm my nerves) but it should be up within a few weeks. And yes, I’m sure I’ll be obnoxious with shooting from the rooftops about it.
Here’s to 2014 being the year you write a best seller with your life.
It is, if I do say so myself, a good little piece of information that contains some great tips I had to learn the hard way. If you are just starting out writing plays or even if you are experience, go ahead and give it a read. You might just learn a thing or two!
A while ago, I screamed out in the writing darkness, looking for some partners to illuminate the corners of my art. I was overwhelmed with the response. The first of these projects to come to fruition was with a fellow blogger of mine, Eric Keys. We are providing each other with weekly prompts, and writing a piece of flash fiction. I was the first to go, my piece appears on his blog.
P.S. I’m still open to other projects, so if you have an idea, feel free to leave a comment with the information or email me.
The last week has been awful for me. My best friend’s father passed unexpectedly. I started a second job (eating up precious writing time). In addition I was sick and had pick eye, the joy of working with little petri dishes, I mean children.
However, today is Easter, the day for new beginning. I’m over my illness and ready to get back to blogging and writing! Thanks for sticking with me.
Happy Easter everyone! I hope you have a wonderful day.
